A Beginner’s Guide for everyone

IndependentOwners 3.0 isn’t just about fabulous new templates, handy widgets and simpler login options.  It is also about helping you build your holiday villa website page-by-page with our new Beginner’s Guide.  Both old and new Members should take time out to read the guide to make sure they havn’t missed something.

You have heard us say it before and you’ll hear it again, but we are proud of our great service and we want you to benefit as much as possible from it.  That is why we have created the Beginner’s Guide.

The Beginner’s Guide isn’t just for new Members to help them construct their property website from the ground up.  It is also for our existing Members to ensure that your free villa website has reached its full potential.  In the Guide we tackle the key steps to creating and updating your holiday website.

The sections include:

  • Ready, Steady! – Everything you need to know about what to prepare before you start.  From making sure your photographs are ready to upload to organising your text so it’s ready to be added to the right page of your website.
  • Widget School – Taking you back to basics, this section of the guide helps you to understand what widgets are, how they can make your website look better and most importantly where they can be included in your website
  • Page By Page – Taking in one page at a time we’ll show you what you can cover on each page of your website.  We give you an idea of how much text to add, the optimum number of photographs for each page, how to put your Guestbook page together and what not to include in your Gallery!
  • Website Tools – Your IndependentOwners.com website is much more than just an online leaflet about your property.  You can link to paperwork stored online in your personal “My Rental Admin” area such as your Booking Form, you can set alerts to remind you when deposits are due, create a Contacts database; all accessible from any online PC anywhere in the world!
  • Printable Checklist – Print out a handy checklist to help you keep track of what you have accomplished to date and which tasks you still need to action.

Your Beginner’s Guide can be found your CMA under your Progress Dashboard and within the My IO Help Centre.
